Kristi graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with an MS degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

She has been practicing emergency medicine for over 15 years in the Houston area. She is on staff at Tomball Regional Medical Center and Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, Emergency Department.
